7th Annual Rally for Recovery
A greatly expanded Friends’ Rally for Recovery 2008 in partnership with A&E Network! This year’s all-day free event will have morning activities including a chartered cruise from Liberty State Park to NYC where we will join thousands of recovery supporters from the tri-state area to form a human bridge - a living symbol of recovery - right on the historic Brooklyn Bridge!
FREE LUNCH AND T-SHIRT TO RECOVERY CRUISE PARTICIPANTS!
The day will include:
• Recovery Cruise to Brooklyn Bridge.
• Free Lunch and T-Shirts for Cruise participants. (shirt size preference cannot be guaranteed)
• Live Entertainment/Celebrity Guests.
• Walk across Brooklyn Bridge to form the Human Bridge of Recovery.
• Cruise back from Manhattan to Liberty State Park.
• Liberty State Park Rally for Recovery, Battle of the Banners and much more.
Together we’ll let the nation know that addiction is a disease and recovery is possible!

Waiver Release
I hereby release Friends of Addiction Recovery-New Jersey, the Jersey City, Liberty State Park, all personnel, any co-sponsoring organization or agency from responsibility for any injuries or damages I may incur as a result of my participation in Rally for Recovery 2008. I assume all risks associated with this Rally including but not limited to falls, traffic, and condition of the sidewalk and weather conditions. I hereby certify that I am in good condition and am able to participate in this event. Additionally I will permit the use of my picture in the broadcast, print, etc. _______________________________________________________
Friends of Addiction Recovery-New Jersey has established chapters in Union County, Essex County, Middlesex County, Mercer County, and Burlington County that can make a difference in the lives of addicted individuals and those in recovery. Each chapter has held focus groups to determine the needs in their particular county and are now working to engage and rally residents in recovery from addiction, their families, friends and allies in a campaign to:
Friend's signature event is the annual Rally for Recovery. The Rally shows New Jerseyans that addiction recovery is a reality, and gives hope to individuals and families still affected by the throes of addiction. It also offers those fortunate enough to be in recovery the chance to share in another’s recovery and also help to educate the public that "Recovery Happens".
